Denver Area PAAC Locations – OCTOBER 2024

Please email Mary if you want to be added to monthly announcement of upcoming paintouts and text if you want to be added to text group for any late changes or cancellations on day of paint out.

To be respectful of others and the environment, generally stay on paths but do not block the paths.

Suggestions for paint out locations are greatly appreciated.  Ideally locations have adequate parking, restrooms and painting options near parking area.  Note that restrooms may not always be available.

OCTOBER 2024

Oct 1 – Chatfield State Park Gravel Ponds, Littleton

Ponds with foothills in background.  Meet at gravel ponds (where people paddle board in summer) south of the reservoir, go to southern-most parking area.  Entry fee or state parks pass required.     

Oct 8 – Lair O’ the Bear

Bear Creek, mountain valley, fall color.   

Oct 15 – Blackrock Lake on South Platte, Littleton

Lakes/ponds, river.  Meet near restrooms.

Oct 22 – Forsberg Iron Spring Park, Lakewood

Front range vista looking south to Red Rocks and beyond from high vantage point. Green Mountain to the north.

Oct 29 – 17 Mile House Farm Park, Parker

Historic farmhouse, windmills, meadows.
