August SCHEDULE:

Tuesday, August 5, 9:00-12:00. Xeriscape Garden. 2855 Mesa Road, Colo. Spgs.  Paint the native plant gardens around the building, views of the mountains, etc. Bathrooms available. 

Thursday, August 7,  9:00-12:00. Demonstration Garden.  222 Mesa Road.  Paint flower gardens,

Monument Creek, etc. No bathrooms available (except further south into Monument Valley Park.

Walk/drive.)

Tuesday, August 12, 9:00-12:00. Suzanne Favier’s house. 14 West Cheyenne Road. Paint a lovely Victorian house, lots of flowers, chickens, etc. Bathroom available.  (Suzanne also sells homemade jam. Delishhhh.)

Thursday, August 14, 9:00-12:00. Kettle Lakes.  This park is located east of the southern gate into the Air Force Academy.  Take exit 150 off of I25. Turn north on Academy Blvd. Drive towards the Air Academy and take a right, east of the Pass and Registration building. Drive past this building down the road (about 1/4 mile) until it ends at a gate. Park there. One of the lakes is by the parking lot. Paint views of Pikes Peak, streams, the lakes. This is on the south end of the airport for the Air Academy, so there is a lot of air activity.  A port-o-potty is available nearby.

Tuesday, August 19, 9:00-12:00, Joan Shulz house.  1325 North Cascade Ave.  Paint water features, flowers, Victorian house., etc 

Thursday, August 21, 9:00-12:00, Starsmore Discovery Center, 2120 South Cheyenne Canon Rd. Bathrooms available in the Nature Center. 

Tuesday, August 26, 9:00-12:00,  Gather Mountain Blooms,  5210 US 85, Fountain. Paint the farmhouse, farm equipment, barns, TB hut, mountains, flowers. Bathrooms available.

Thursday, August 28, 6 pm - dark. SUNSET PAINTOUT (No morning pain tout).
