Wes Hyde was born in Fontana, California in 1967; he spent most of his childhood moving from town to town, living for short periods in Alaska, Indiana and Virginia. Most of Wes' life has been spent in Arizona, where he worked for several ranches including the DK Ranch in Flagstaff.

For three years Wes traveled almost non-stop across the United States and Canada. This constant momentum and diversity became an inspiration for his painting.

Wes now resides in Colorado with his wife Nicole, also an artist. He is represented by Angler Art, CO and Sage Creek Gallery, Santa Fe. He works daily in his studio or on location, and keeps a road atlas handy… just in case.
